Commissary Division, Panama Railroad Industrial Laboratory Soda Bottles. These bottles were used when the Panama Canal bottled their own brand of soda pop. Sodas were bottled in the Industrial Laboratory in Mount Hope.
Although a little crusty, the small jars above held spices and camphor oil that was bottled at the Industrial Laboratory in Mount Hope. These jars were found in the old Hartman home on Gamboa road after it was left deserted. I remember my Mother had a cupboard full of these little jars. The small Mindi Farms bottle was used for fresh cream. There were larger varieties for milk. At one time the Panama Canal Supply Department provided most of the necessary grocery items for it's employees.
