France Field vets? My father was a sergeant in the Army Air Corp. stationed there at the start of WWII. I'd like to correspond with anyone else who might have been there at that time. I am interested in what life was like etc. My father died 25 years ago - I'd love to learn more of the kind of life he experienced there at that time. Thanks. Boy, what a neat site!My family lived in the C.Z. from 1946 to 1950, I was 7 years old in 46. Dad was with the C.A.A.We lived in Pedro Miguel in apartment 128 D next door to the church. I was told that there're many precious historic information is being told along with pictures of my past stomping ground. As a native Canal Zonenia, I grew up in Paraiso. Great work. My grandfather, K.O. Gates, worked on the canal in the thirties with the US Army Corps. We have some amazing B&W photos of those times.
