| Who is in the lead?? These operators actually had competition as who could dig the most and who can go the farthest. There were actually score boards indicating the daily progress. Eating rock and dirt. Steam, iron, and sweat. It is incredible to see how much dirt and rock was removed from the "Cut" by these steam driven shovels. There were times when they were buried in the slides when the sides of the Cut collapsed. |
