Fort Clayton looking Northeast. Photo of shows the main CZ road to Pedro Miguel cutting up into Clayton and running down between barracks. This street was only reopened recently during the "Just Cause" crisis. Galliard Highway wasn't in existence at this time. The sheds on the lower right of that road are the horse and mule stables for the 33rd Infantry supply trains. This area served as part of the 800 housing area during modern times. Note the position of the main Panama Railroad line. Note 2nd FA barracks and their mule sheds in upper left hand corner. Note old gun range against the hill in the top center. What a wonderful old photo.. |
