Note from George Chevalier - This and the previous photo I took in 1962 of the Engine House ruins in Cascadas. The house on the right ,at least, had concrete pits for working under the engines. While photographing those ruins I found the inscribed sign made by the man in charge of the construction in 1907. It was on top of the far wall of the pit. I've wanted for years to locate relatives of this man but I don't think the town even exists in Texas any more.
