Bio:

Left the CZ in 73 to attend the University of West Florida & graduated with a degree
in special education. Taught in Florida for awhile & returned to the Canal Zone in 78
to teach. I was president of the Gatun Civic Council when the treaty took effect & will
ever forget standing next to the Governor as they lowered the American flag for the
last time at CHS. A heartwrenching experience. I left Panama in 81 to teach in Texas,
spent one year in New York City in 87 & then back to Florida in 88. In 87 I married Ed
Wardlow who used to work at the Balboa Post Office.He is truly my Prince Charming.
And yes, I still go by Vicki Sizemore because as Ed likes to tell it, when we got married
I let him keep his maiden name. I am active in our community having served as a city
commissioner for three years & president & vice president of our local Police Athletic
League. I also served on the local code enforcement board,the Florida League of Cities
Criminal Justice Policies Committee and am involve in our local teachers union.I still
love to swim & much to my surprise can still swim a mile in less than 45 minutes! I
spend my "spare" having new adventures with my "old" zonie friends & organizing
class reunions. vicki sizemore
