During this Holiday Season one cannot help but reflect on all the blessings we enjoy throughout the year. I have always counted my friends as one of my greatest blessings. Lets all follow Mike's example and take a minute to sign our class page so we can know what everyone is up to.....me I am enjoying being on a weeks vacation thanks to year around school and cooking a large turkey tomorrow which Ed & I will share with fellow BHS 70 classmate Laurie McBride Hazelip & husband Dave. Ed & I will spend Christmas in Ormond Beach with Jac & Pam and "sisters" and then we are off to Amelia Island for a few days where Ed gets to enjoy golf at his favorite course in the state and I get to enjoy a day at the spa. Mike, we send you sunshine...at least Colorado should be better than Cleveland. Happiest of Dia de Gracias to you all.........please remember to sign our page!!
I would like to wish all my former classmates a wonderful holiday season. I don't know about you, but I have so much to be thankful for. Have a great husband, wonderful children & 3 fantastic grandchildren. And we don't forget to grateful for wonderful friends here in Florida & around the country. We just returned from 3 weeks in Europe with our daughter, her husband & our granddaughter Abby. We had 2 weeks in Germany with side trips to the Czech Republic & Austria. Then we took Abby & her Mom for 5 days in Ireland. It was truly a trip of a lifetime. Again, happy holiday season.
Happy Holidays to all from sunny El Paso, TX. We had a sad Thanksgiving. Rosemary Rhodes' (our class) mom passed away Tuesday evening. Tom was in Florida for Thanksgiving at his parents and was able to get a flight back here on Wed. That was a miracle. The funeral was on the Friday following Thanksgiving and Tom did it. She was buried in the National Cemetery here where my dad is buried. On a less sad note, I've been looking for work and have not been too successful. Does anyone have any contacts here in El Paso or Las Cruces NM?
This past week we lost one of the bright lights from our wonderful class of 70. Jacque Hunt Arias lost her long & hard fought battle with cancer. Jacque was such a wonderful lady. I remember her from high school as someone who always had a smile on her face. God speed Jacque on your journey home. You will be missed by those that loved you. Fellow classmates, please remember Jacque's husband, mother & siblings in your prayers.
Great! Sorry to here of the loved ones who have parted.
I hope the new year brings my classmates happiness, good health and love.
I too, wish my BHS '70 classmates the very best in 2003, in particular, good health and happiness. Still in the northern Virginia area and starting my 29th year at CIA - retirement is looming ahead in the not too distant future. Seems like only yesterday I was shopping for a prom dress - my, how time flies after 50!!!!! Best to you all!
Our classmate Lt. Col Tom Wesley will be leaving shortly for the Middle East. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I just know that he and his wife Susan (Also BHS 70) would love to hear from their classmates. If you need their email address let me or Jac (vowellja@aol.com) know. Also, if you know of other BHS 70 members serving in the middle east at this time please let us know so we can send them our encouragement and support. Vaya con Dios, Tomas.
