There still seems to be some confusion about registering for our class reunion. In order to register for our class reunion you must (1) send me a check for $45 (2) Fill out the registration form which you can print from THIS web page. (3) Put both items in an envelope & mail them to me at the above address. Until you do this YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED FOR OUR CLASS REUNION. If you filled out the registration forms in the Panama Canal Record (from the Panama Canal Society) & sent in the $5 registration fee, you are only registered for the Panama Canal Society Reunion-NOT OUR CLASS REUNION!!!! Believe me folks, our class reunion costs a whole lot more than $5.00. Also, THOSE WHO HAVE NOT PAID WILL NOT BE ADMITTED AT THE DOOR!!!!!!!!!! We have to give the hotel a body count by June 1.Also, anyone who would like to do the next class reunion PLEASE FEEL FREE TO VOLUNTEER!!!!!! I give up...............
AS A COLLECTOR OF A FEW "ODDS AND ENDS" FROM OUR LIVES AND TIMES IN PANAMA,I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN SELLING BRASS STIRRUPS. I HAVE HAD A RATHER DIFFICULT TIME FINDING ANY IN MY ANTIQUE HUNTING OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS.PLEASE LET ME KNOW. MANY THANKS.
This a nice site but I wish CHS had something like BHS class of 70. I do plan to go to the reunion. See you there class of 70 CHS. Jean
Bill - I especially enjoyed seeing the photos and reading about what people have been up to. I will work on providing you with photos and a bio. Unfortunately there are not any photos of me in the high school yearbook. I do not believe I was there for the picture taking. I went to the Zone in April 1969, graduated in 1970, and went to Canal Zone Junior College for two years. There are photos of me in both the the CZJC year books. If I recall correctly, most of them were basketball photos. I am giving you my mailing address that I have had for about 15 years. I do not have mail delivered to my home. Take care. Later. Scott
Bill (and BHS classmates), am feeling very nostalgic these days with the reunion just around the corner and this wonderful home page!! Wonder if anyone knows the whereabouts of my old chums Pam Birch, Cindy Eustace, Diana Frantz, Jack Hoyle, Bill Ketner, Mayra Trahan or Tina Vega? Many of us went on to CZC - spending a great deal of our time playing spades and eating empanadas out of the vending machines in the student lounge. Have wondered where these folks are - hope to see them at the upcoming bash. See you soon!!!
Great work! I have enjoyed checking in from time to time to see what is new. Even though I wasn't in Panama long (just my senior year) I have many good memories. Thanks for providing a means to bring many of those memories back.
Geez Scott....you never did say...are you showing up for the reunion or what? Vicki would like to know these things.
Vicki!!!
Don't give up on us. We're worth it : )
Love, Thomas
PS....thanks for keeping us in touch with each other through all these years. Damn....30 of them.
Okay Tomas, I'm not giving up-we are up to 86 registered attendees for our class reunion. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! Keep the money coming. By the way Scott Burns, haven't seen a check from you yet......get on the stick!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to locate different people not necessarily graduated in Balboa High School, because for some reason they had to move, so help us find our friends opening a space for those that were there at some point of their lives. I'd like to locate Pam Jo Clark or Rick Clark from Curundu Hts, or the Zayas brothers from Ft. Amador, Carlos, Henry or Richard. If anyone knows please write back.
All of you are doing a great job in keeping up this home page. I certainly appreciate it. I check in periodically even though I don't sign in. Vicki, I will be sending in the check for the reunion this Monday. Sorry, I'd been meaning to do so quite some time ago. I know there are other Zonians here in Miami especially now that Southcom has its headquarters here, but don't know if any are from the class of 70. I haven't run into anyone. My good friend, Jim Kunkel, recently moved from here to the Washington, DC/Virginia area and doesn't know if he'll be able to attend the reunion. Looking forward to seeing everyone in July.
